  • Urban Sketching Techniques with Ink and Watercolour 50+

    Century House, New Westminster

    Thursdays, 12:30pm - 2:30pm

    Urban sketching (usually on the spot) includes a variety of subjects, from table top items to people & pets, to natural elements, to all kinds of street scenes. In this course, we will practice pen and ink drawing, review basic perspective, and learn to apply loose watercolour washes to enhance your sketches. Reference images will be supplied, but you are welcome to bring your own. Suggested supply list available from Century House. 

  • Acrylic Painting 50+

    Century House, New Westminster

    April 28 - June 23 (8 wks)* 
    *No class May 19
    Mondays, 12:30pm - 2:30pm

    Learn the steps to create a successful painting in either acrylic or gouache. Practice colour mixing, brush strokes, blending techniques, and more. Experienced gouache painters are welcome to attend, however instruction and demonstration will be in acrylic. Please bring supplies to Cirst class. Suggested supply list provided at time of registration. 

  • Drawing and Painting Art Cards 50+

    Century House, New Westminster

    *No class May 19
    Mondays, 3:00pm - 5:00pm

    Create your own hand made art cards or post cards. Instruction will include suggestions for layout, basic lettering techniques and how to add colour with watercolour or coloured pencils. Bring supplies to Cirst class. Suggested supply list available from Century House. 

  • Watercolour - Beginner 50+

    Century House, New Westminster

    April 22 - June 24 (10 wks) 
    Tuesdays, 10am - 12pm 

    From realism to abstraction, develop creative practices using watercolour. Suggested supply list will be discussed in the Cirst class, bring any supplies that you have. (Also available at time of registration).

  • Watercolour - Intermediate/Advance 50+

    Century House, New Westminster

    April 25-June 27 (10 wks) 
    Fridays, 12:30 - 2:30 pm

    Follow demonstrations, individual guidance, and critiques to create several watercolour pieces. For experienced watercolour artists. Suggested supply list provided at registration.
